Aravind KP (born on 8th December 1985) is an Indian professional bike racer who has dozens of significant bike racing titles to his name. He is popularly known for completing Dakar rally in the year 2019. He is also a contestant in the famous reality TV show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8 which is hosted by South-Indian actor Sandeep.

Early life and Background
Aravind KP was born and brought up in Udupi, Karnataka in a middle-class family. His father’s name is Prabhakar Upadhya who’s a businessman while his mother, Usha Prabhakar is a housewife. He was interested in motorcycle racing and used to ride his father’s scooter since childhood.
His parents promised to gift him a bike if he would score more than 80% marks in the board examination of class 12 when he was in school and he went on to score 84.7% marks, and thus, got his first bike, a Yamaha RX-135. He went to watch a motorbike racing event organized by Yamaha and seeing it live is what sparked his dream of becoming a great motorbike racer himself one day.
Aravind is currently single and fully concentrating on his career. He doesn’t want any distractions and is focused on achieving greater heights with hard work and effort.

Aravind started professional motorcycle racing at the national level at the age of 19. He participated in MRF Supercross National Championship in 2009 and became the first Indian to win an overseas Motocross championship held in Sri Lanka in 2011. He has won almost all off-road Indian races such as MRF Supercross (7 rounds), Suzuki Dakshin Dare (2000 Kms), and Maruti Suzuki Raid De Himalaya (2500 Kms) in the year 2015.
Aravind was placed 25th in the OiLibya Rally which was held in Morocco in 2016. TVS Racing spotted him at Gulf Dirt Track National Championship in 2016 and since then, he has won more than 15 National Championships in Rallies, Dirt track, and Motocross. Apart from bike racing, he has worked as a voice-over artist for the Kannada movie, One time. He became the second Indian to complete Dakar Rally held in Peru where he was placed at 39th position in 2019.
He followed a strict workout regimen including cycling, gymming, and swimming in order to prepare for the Dakar rally which is considered the toughest rally. He has been seen as a contestant in the television reality show, Bigg Boss Kannada season 8.
