Jubin Nautiyal

Jubin Nautiyal (born on 14th June 1989) is an Indian singer. He is famous for his songs – Tum Hi Aana from Marjaavaan which became a chartbuster upon release, Wafa Na Raas Aayee, and Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra. His most recent song “Lut Gaye” got 861 million views in only 5 months.

Early Life and Background

Jubin Nautiyal was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India to Ram Sharan Nautiyal and Neena Nautiyal. His father, Ram Sharan Nautiyal is a businessman and politician. His mother, Neena Nautiyal is a businesswoman. Jubin Nautiyal follows his father’s love for music. He did his schooling up to 8th standard at St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun, India. After that, he attended Welham Boy’s School, Dehradun, India where he formally studied music as a subject. He developed a base in classical music here. He also learned to play the guitar, drum, piano, and harmonium there. By 18, he was already a known singer in his town.

He performed at many live events and supported charities. In 2007, he moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra to attend Mithibai College. He continued his training in music under Pandit Chhannu Lal Mishra ji in Varanasi. During this time, he met A.R. Rahman who appreciated his voice quality and suggested he continue training before entering the Indian Music Industry. Jubin moved back to Dehradun and continued to train under his school teacher, Mrs. Vandana Srivastava. He took additional music lessons in Hindustani classical music from his Guru Mr. Samant. Jubin traveled for four years polishing his musical skills and playing with different musicians. Then he traveled to Varanasi to learn light classical music from Chhannu Lal Mishra. He also took training in western music at a music school in Chennai where he studied under Veteran Guitarist – Prasanna, before entering the Music Industry.

Personal Life

Much is not known about Jubin’s personal life since he mostly keeps it under wraps. It is rumored that he was in a relationship with Kritika Kamra, but it wasn’t confirmed by either of them. We will for sure let you know if get any info on his love life in future.

Career

Jubin started his career in 2011 when he participated in the show X Factor. He qualified there to be the top 25 participants. Jubin then made his Bollywood debut with the song Ek Mulakat in 2014. He sang multiple Hindi Songs from then on. He has sung eight Telegu Songs, one Kannada song, ten Bengali songs, and nineteen songs for non-film music videos. In 2021, he made his Hollywood debut with the song Breaking the Rules for the film Initiation.
