Erica Fernandes (born on 7th May 1993) is an Indian model and actress. She is best known for her role in Sony TV’s popular romantic soap called, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi as Dr Sonakshi Bose. Apart from television series, Erica has also starred in many regional films like the Tamil movie, Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu in 2013 etc. She also competed in many beauty pageants and finished in the top 10 in the Miss India beauty pageant in 2011. Apart from acting, she also likes to vlog, so she has her own self-titled YouTube channel where she posts fashion, beauty and lifestyle related videos.

Early Life and Background
Erica Fernandes was born in Mangalore City and brought up in Mumbai to Ralph and Lavina Fernandes. She is a Christian and belongs to Konkani Mangalorean Catholic community. Her father, Ralph Fernandes was an interior designer but currently working as her manager while her mother, Lavina Fernandes, is a banker. She has an elder brother, Jermaine Fernandes who works with Ernst & Young in Mumbai. Erica finished her schooling from Holy Cross High School in Kurla, Mumbai. After the completion of her early education, she went to SIES College to join a pre-degree course. She then went on to join St. Andrews College in Bandra, Mumbai to get a degree in BA but later, dropped out in between the course to make a career in modelling.

Erica Fernandes is currently rumoured to be dating her co-star Shaheer Shaikh. The alleged couple became close to each other on the sets of the show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. Career
Erica started her career as a model and also taken part in many beauty pageants like Pantaloons Femina Miss Maharashtra in 2011 which she won. She also competed and finished in the top 10 in Miss India contest in 2011. After that, she got selected to play the role in Virattu/Dega movie alongside actor Sujiv. Erica received many offers from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films as well as from the television industry. She made her Tamil movie debut in the year 2013 where she appeared in the movie called, Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu. She then went on to do a number of regional movies including Ninnindale, Galipatam, Virattu etc.
She even appeared in the bollywood movie, Babloo Happy Hai in 2014. Then she started getting offers from the television industry. She debuted from the Sony TV’s romantic soap, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi as Dr. Sonakshi Bose opposite Shaheer Shaikh. Her performance in the show was very much appreciated by the audience and she even received many prestigious awards for that. Erica then signed her second big contract as a lead character in the Star Plus show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay as Prerna Sharma opposite Parth Samthan in 2018.
