Shweta Tiwari belongs to Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. She was born on October 4, 1980. Her father’s name is Ashok Kumar Tiwari and her mother’s name is Nirmala Tiwari. She was interested in acting since her childhood. Shweta Tiwari was forced to work because of financial crises in the family.

At an age of studying, playing games and cracking jokes, little Shweta worked at a travel agency and studied at the high school St Isabel in Mazgaon, Mumbai all at the same. She had to make calls to a customer list and for this, she got a salary of Rs 500/-. She had even begun to give Hindi Tuitions to make a living. She stopped taking money from her parents and settled for herself at the age of 13. After graduation, she gave auditions for many TV serials.

She started her career at the age of 12 and is still working in the glamour industry. She completed her studies and finished her Commerce degree from the Burhani College of Arts and Commerce in Mumbai from her meagre pay.

Personal life

In 1998, Shweta Tiwari started a relationship with Raja Chaudhary. Shweta was only 19 years old and a popular television actress when Raja was 23 years old and a floundering Bhojpuri movie star. Thus when Shweta disclosed to her mother that Raja told her about their marriage plans, she warned her but Sheeta was blindly in love with Raja. She disobeyed her mother and wedded.

They had a daughter in 2000 and then started the torment that led to domestic violence and abuse, as Raja was a flop artist in Bhojpuri films, demanding money from Shweta. Raja tried to kill her only daughter and therefore Shweta decided to leave her family home and actively pursue a divorce. It took 6-7 years to get a divorce and in 2007, Shweta received relief from a fecking life after 7 years, although not easy.

Shweta Tiwari came into contact with the TV actor Abhinav Kohli during the TV-series ‘Jaane Kya Baat Hui’ in 2009 after a problematic marriage with Raja Chaudhari. Eventually, they became affectionate to each other and she found a gentleman in Abhinav, who was kind and compassionate towards the daughter of Shweta.

The love of Abhinav grew after Abhinav took care of her mother and her daughter when Shweta walked to Big Boss Season 4. So Shweta Tiwari and Abhinav Kohli both tied the knot on July 13, 2013. On November 27, 2016, the couple is blessed with a child. In her current marriage, Shweta is happy.

Career

Shweta Tiwari was first seen in a play called ‘Khoobsurat Bahu’ in Doordarshan TV show in which the pathetic condition of the daughters-in-law of society was portrayed. This play led her to find her first soap Kaleerein (1999). She subsequently was seen on Doordarshan Metro channel’s popular serial Aane Wala Pal (2001). Ekta Kapoor watched this serial and invited Shweta to do the Karam and Kaahin Kissi Roz television serials in Balaji Telefilms.

Pleasantly surprised by the outstanding performance by Shweta and her honesty as actress Ekta Kapoor offered her Kasauti Zindagi Kay, which was broadcast on a Star Plus Channel with the leading role. The serial was a big success and overflowed Shweta Tiwari with many awards.

She won the Star Parivar Award for her outstanding role for six consecutive years from 2003 to 2008. This show made her TV world’s Queen. She finished numerous TV serials like TV shows Big Boss, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6, Nach Baliye, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, soaps Parvarish- Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, Kahin Kissi Roz, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat.

Her negative role as Mahabhasma Pari in serial Baal Veer on SAB TV also earned her decent feedback. The dance programs Aaja Mahi Vay and Bhojpuri’s Dance Sangram were also judged by Shweta Tiwari. By comparison, films were troublesome for Shweta, and despite amazing looks, talent and name in television serials, she was unable to establish in Indian cinema.

She did a few Bollywood movies, regional movies and item songs but nothing could provide her with the fame and love which TV serials brought to her.
