Sanjana Sarathy (born on 25th July 1992) is an Indian film actress and model. She has appeared in many Tamil movies. Sanjana is best known for portraying the role of Jagdeesh’s sister in the Tamil film, Thuppakki. She has appeared in five films and two web series (as of 2020).

Early life and Background
Sanjana Sarathy was born and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India in a Tamil family to father, Vijay Sarathy and mother, Rajie Vijay Sarathy. She follows Hinduism and holds Indian nationality. She did her schooling at St. Michael’s Academy in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. After her schooling, she got admission to M.O.P Vaishnav College for women and pursued B.Sc. in Electronic Media. After her graduation, she did M.Sc. in the same field from Chennai’s famous SRM University. Sanjana moved to Hong Kong to work in a media company after successfully completing her studies.

Career
After completing her studies Sanjana started working in a media company which was located in Hong Kong. She worked in Hong Kong for a few years before realising that she wants to become an actress. She loved dancing since her childhood so she moved back to India to follow her dream. Sanjana made her debut in the film industry by portraying the role of Swetha in the Tamil film Vazhakku Enn 18/9 in the year 2012. The same year she got another offer to play the role of Jagdeesh’s younger sister in the movie Thuppakki, her performance in this film got everyone talking. Thuppakki helped Sanjana make a name for herself in the Tamil film industry.
She started getting offers from famous Tamil directors and producers. Sanjana has appeared in five movies and two web series until now. She has also worked in television commercials for big brands like 7Up, Ace2Three, Pizza Hut, Amazon, Cinthol, etc. More recently she has started her own designer label, Chatterbox.
